Assessment, imaging and risk review come first. Surgery places the implant; healing allows osseointegration; restorative visits fit the abutment and crown. The number and spacing of trips depend on grafting, stability, healing and the restoration design.

Questions to ask in writing

  • Ask what must be completed in Thailand and what can be followed at home.
  • Do not book a tight departure immediately after a surgical procedure.
  • Get a written contingency plan if immediate loading is not possible.
  • Carry implant labels, radiographs and the final treatment summary home.

YOUR CONSULTATION CHECKLIST

Five things to bring to the conversation

  • Your medicines, supplements, allergies and medical conditions
  • Previous dental records and any existing radiographs
  • What matters to you: chewing, appearance or a loose denture
  • Travel, budget and support arrangements
  • Questions about alternatives, temporary teeth, stages and follow-up

Do not stop or change anticoagulant or antiplatelet medicines yourself. Your dentist should coordinate with the prescriber when needed.
