Long-term maintenance matters as much as the surgical visit.
Before leaving Thailand, confirm cleaning instructions, review dates, bite precautions and who to contact. A warranty may cover a component while excluding professional fees, travel, grafting or treatment of inflammation.
Questions to ask in writing
- Arrange a local dentist or hygienist who is comfortable maintaining implants.
- Seek care for swelling, pus, fever, persistent bleeding, mobility or worsening pain.
- Do not ignore a loose crown or screw; avoid chewing on it until assessed.
- Keep receipts, implant system details and before/after radiographs.
