Long-term maintenance matters as much as the surgical visit.
Before leaving Thailand, confirm cleaning instructions, review dates, bite precautions and who to contact. A warranty may cover a component while excluding professional fees, travel, grafting or treatment of inflammation.
Questions to ask in writing
- Arrange a local dentist or hygienist who is comfortable maintaining implants.
- Seek care for swelling, pus, fever, persistent bleeding, mobility or worsening pain.
- Do not ignore a loose crown or screw; avoid chewing on it until assessed.
- Keep receipts, implant system details and before/after radiographs.

Ask for the implant system brand and model, and keep them with your treatment records.

Organise follow-up records
Keep the treatment plan, procedure dates, supplied radiographs and clinic contact details for future care.

Know who to contact
Contact your clinician promptly for implant pain or looseness. If bleeding continues despite the advised pressure, seek emergency care.
